Mom of girl thrown from Houston rodeo carnival ride files lawsuit against ride operator

HOUSTON

Back in March at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the little girl slipped out of the seat of the "Techno Jump" while riding with her brother and fell to the ground. An eyewitness shot video of the incident.

The girl suffered a concussion and some minor injuries.

The child's mother, Shanjea Pennygraph, wants Ray Cammack Shows, Inc. to pay for medical bills and mental anguish associated with the accident.

Since then, HLSR changed the rules on more than a dozen rides requiring children to have a companion that is 16 or older.
