Texas man accused of killing girlfriend's mom

SAN ANTONIO, TX

Bexar County jail records show 24-year-old Garry Armstrong was being held Monday on a murder charge. Online jail records did not list an attorney for Armstrong, whose bond has been set at $250,000.

Armstrong allegedly forced his way into the family's home early Sunday and shot Niki Hill when she tried to keep him from taking her daughter. Police say Armstrong then forced his girlfriend to accompany him to his apartment, he fell asleep and the teen escaped and summoned help.

Officers then arrested Armstrong.

Hill's father, Ricky Tucker, says Armstrong had a violent history with his granddaughter and was not welcome at the family's home.
