Couponing is now big business thanks to websites like Groupon and Reality TV shows including "Extreme Couponers" -- so it was only a matter of time before the craze hit the dating scene and it seems that frugal romances are on the rise.

According to a recent survey by CouponCabin.com, 26 percent of people have used a coupon on a first date. That's up eight percent from 2011.

It turns out being thrifty isn't as much of a turn off as you would think with 73 percent of people saying coupon use might just lead to a second date. But 12 percent said using a coupon would dash hopes of another outing.

So what about you? Would your date using a coupon to pay for things be a turn off? Join the conversation on or ABC13 Facebook page.
