Tip call leads to arrest in August shooting death of Iraq war veteran

HOUSTON

Keith Dewayne Dillingham is in custody after his picture appeared on the news and Crime Stoppers subsequently received a tip line call Thursday. Deputies were able to apprehend Dillingham without incident.

Dillingham is charged with capital murder. He was identified by investigators as one of the suspects involved in the shooting death of Alexander Segura. He was shot and killed during a robbery in northwest Harris County back in August.

On August 6 at around 3am, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a shooting at an apartment complex located at 9001 Jones Rd. in northwest Harris County. Upon arrival, deputies found 28-year-old Alexander Segura injured from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Segura left behind a wife and 2-year-old son.
