It happened around 11pm at a taqueria truck in northeast Harris County on Old Humble Road near Smith.
Deputies said the worker was inside the truck alone when two armed men approached and demanded cash.
She handed over the money, but one of the men shot her in the hand.
She was in the hospital this morning. Officials expect her to fully recover.
The duo escaped with an unknown amount of money. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
