The Katy Freeway will be shut down in both directions at the Grand Parkway (Highway 99) beginning tonight at 9pm and will remain closed until Monday at 5am.
All I-10 eastbound main lane traffic will be detoured onto the I-10 feeder road at the exit ramp for Highway 99. Drivers will have to re-enter I-10 eastbound after the signal at the next entrance ramp.
All westbound I-10 traffic will be detoured onto the feeder road at the exit ramp for Highway 99. Driver will re-enter IH 10 westbound mainlanes after the signal at the next entrance ramp.
The Mason Road eastbound entrance ramp to I-10 and the Mason Road eastbound exit ramp will be closed from Friday at noon and will remain closed until 5am Monday. The Mason Road westbound ramp to I-10 will be closed from Friday at 9pm and will stay closed until Monday at 5am.
Officers will be around to help drivers get around the closures.
The closures are part of the project to construct the Highway 99 southbound connector to I-10 eastbound and westbound to Highway 99 northbound connector. It's scheduled for completion by the fall of 2013.
