Saul Gutierrez is charged with murder in the death of Gerardo Lopez. Lopez was fatally stabbed during an altercation in the 4700 block of McEwen near Cavalcade.
Witnesses told police that a Texans viewing party had spilled out into the street, where two groups of men got into a verbal argument over the football game.
According to court documents, witnesses, including the victim's brother, identified Gutierrez and picked him out of police photo lineups.
Gutierrez, 17, is charged with murder. He was arrested on Tuesday. Bail has been set at $50,000 in the case.
