Police say Gutu Abebe grabbed the 10-year-old girl off her bike and pulled her into his apartment on Saturday. The girl says Abebe slapped her when she would not take off her pants.
The girl says she started screaming, then Abebe pushed her out a window. Her mother found her.
When officers arrived, they found Abebe in a closet in the apartment. He's also accused of biting and spitting at police during the arrest.
Abebe, 27, is charged with enticing a child, and assaulting a public servant. He's now jailed without bond.
