The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services revoked the operating permit for the Alpha Kids Center No. 2 in northwest Houston. Back in July, investigators say Conception Coronado ran a red light crashing into a pickup truck.
Police later learned Coronado is actually a Mexican fugitive and did not have a valid drivers license.
The kids were injured because the van did not have enough safety belts, police say. None of them were seriously injured.
The day care owner, Darryl Freeman, was also charged in connection with the crash.
