4 firefighters hurt in Robstown main street blaze

ROBSTOWN, TX

Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire Thursday on main street in Robstown, about 15 miles west of Corpus Christi. Officials say a gym and a vacant building were damaged.

Capt. James Brown of the Corpus Christi Fire Department says a partial wall collapse led to a flash fire. Brown says a Corpus Christi fighter suffered facial and arm burns and was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center. Further details on the injured man were not immediately released.

Officials say three firefighters from the Robstown area suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Firefighters by dawn Thursday had extinguished much of the blaze and were dealing with hot spots.
