Prosecutors say 66-year old Clair Wolf tried to hire a man to kill both of his sisters, Vennie and Eizabeth Wolf. He was being held Friday at Harris County Jail with bond set at $300,000.
Two years ago, Clair Wolf was considered a person of interest in an attack on Vennie Wolf. She was injured by a bomb that was hidden inside a container made to look like a box of candy.
Clair Wolf and his sisters had been involved in bitter fight over an inheritance. They sued him for illegally dumping oil and hazardous waste on inherited property they shared. He was convicted on environmental charges.
