Charges have been filed against a man accused of a fatal shooting following a Spring Break foam party.

On March 14, as a crowd of mostly teenagers was dispersing from large party at a massive house in southeast Houston, Ryan Sharod Spikes, 18, was shot. Spikes suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at Ben Taub Hospital.

Although the suspect fled at the time, Houston police say their investigation has led them to charge John Gibbs, 22, with murder. Gibbs is already in the Harris County Jail on previous unrelated charges
