It happened around 9pm outside the store on Albury near West Belfort.
Surveillance cameras captured the moments that shots were fired. On the video, you could see several people scatter in the video.
Police say the victim had just left the store and was walking across the street when a masked gunman ran up to him and started shooting.
"An unknown masked gunman approached the complainant, shot him repeatedly and then ran away," said an investigator with whom we spoke.
The victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say they have little information on the shooter at this point. They ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
