'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' to hold contestant auditions

HOUSTON

Houston is one of six cities selected as an audition site for the next season of the game show, which airs everyday on ABC13.

There will be two sets of auditions on Monday, July 23 at the Crowne Plaza Reliant on 8686 Kirby Drive, Houston, Texas 77054.

The first session will start at 7:00am, with tests being given through 10:00am. Call-back interviews for the morning auditions will take place between 12:00–3:00pm. The second session will begin at 5:00pm and will continue through 7:00pm.

Call-back interviews for evening auditions will take place immediately after each test session. The last session of the day will begin promptly at 7:00pm and will test contestants exclusively for "Movie Week," a specialty series featuring film buffs answering movie-themed trivia.

Producers will also audition college students throughout the day to be considered for "College Week." Auditioners will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis and producers will audition as many people as they can throughout the day.

In order to audition in Houston, participants must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. resident and pass all other eligibility rules, which can be found on "Millionaire's" website at www.millionairetv.com. Auditioners must bring photo identification with them as proof of age and residency.

"Millionaire" currently airs at 3:00pm on ABC 13 and will move to 2:00pm beginning September 10.
