Teen shot twice following confrontation in SW Houston

HOUSTON

The shooting happened in southwest Harris County on Synott right outside the Beechnut Landing subdivision.

Deputies say the 18-year-old and his 16-year-old brother had just left a Quinceañera when they got into a confrontation with a man inside a car. After the argument, the man shot the 18-year-old twice, once in the chest and once in the hand and then drove off.

Neighbors heard the gunshots and teens screaming.

"We hear, like, people fighting, screaming and fighting and later they shoot, like five shootings," said a neighbor.

The 16-year-old wasn't hurt. His brother was airlifted to the hospital and is expected to survive.
