Texans rookie says he doesn't want to play football

HOUSTON

Dwight Jones told the Texans on Tuesday that he doesn't want to play football anymore. The rookie out of North Carolina had some potential. He's 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds. In fact, he was one of TJ Yates' favorite targets with the Tar Heels.

Realistically, with the glut of receivers the Texans have in camp, he didn't have a great shot at making the team, but now he'll never know.

Meanwhile, keep an eye on Friday, which is the date NFL teams release veterans so there may be some good players available and the Texans could add some players who can help.
