Authorities say it's not immediately known what prompted the shooting where a man and woman in one car were killed and two passengers in their car were injured when the gunfire erupted Sunday night on Interstate 35W. A fifth person in the car escaped injury.
Police told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram the five people in the car had been at a restaurant, drove on Interstate 20 and then turned south on I-35W.
Police Capt. Kevin Rodricks says a vehicle pulled alongside and the shooting started.
The car then swerved off the highway to a service road and hit a concrete embankment.
