A woman who claimed to be a kidnapping victim in Kemah is now facing charges.

During Spring Break in March, 32-year-old Brandy O'Brien told police a gunman jumped into her car while she sat in traffic.

According to her report to police, the man forced her to drive to a house in Dickinson and then tied her to a bed until she managed to escape.

Kemah police said they investigated the case and learned that the allegations were not true.

O'Brien is charged with perjury and making a false police report.
