It happened just before 3pm on Twisted Elm Court at Sharpton near West Road and Veterans Memorial.
Harris County Sheriff's Office arrived and found the victim with a single gunshot wound to the face. He was transported to the hospital. At last check, his condition was unknown.
Officials said a traffic stop nearby may have nabbed possible suspects in the shooting. They were taken into into custody.
