All over the city, bike shops are planning group rides for people to participate in Bike to Work Day. This comes as a new bike share program is about to launch downtown and METRO is working on improving connectivity so people can easily use public transit in addition to their bikes.
According to the alliance for biking and walking, Houston ranks 37th out of the 51 largest U.S. cities in the share of commuters who commute by bike or foot.
