Investigators were called to the shooting on Fleming Drive at Coolwood Dr. near the East Freeway around 2:45am.
When they arrived, the victim was lying in the driveway of his home. He was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious condition, but he is expected to live.
Officials said he was shot three times. His neighbor told us she heard the shots and looked outside, but didn't see anyone running away.
Police found shell casings in the street.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and police have no one in custody and no witnesses.
