Animals with nightmarish names made dreams come true Saturday for two teens at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo junior market steer auction.

Grand Champion "Freddy Krueger" sold for $460,000 -- the highest price in a decade.

Kannon Acker, 15, of New Braunfels, said he got the steer on Friday the 13th, hence the name.

Philip and Denise Bahr, Champagne Cowgirls, Wallis and Dee Dee Marsh and Paul Somerville and Kristina Hornberger purchased the steer.

Emily Kelley, a 15-year-old from Yoakum, won reserve grand champion for her steer "Monster." He was auctioned for $250,000 to Chris, Vanessa, Kyle and Rhianna Bruegger, Roger and Evelyn Bethune, Rigo and Sally Flores and Stewart Title/E.D. and Mary Alice Lester.

The record steer prices are $600,001 for grand champion in 2002 and $365,000 for reserve in 2001.
