Deputies: Man shoots girlfriend, then flees

HOUSTON

The shooting happened in the Foster Creek subdivision, located in the Fulshear area. Deputies went to the home on Foster Lake near FM 723 shortly after 9pm and discovered the woman with a gunshot wound. Now the hunt is on for her boyfriend, who had fled the scene.

Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking Michael Warren, 58, who is under a warrant for aggravated assault in connection with the shooting. He is believed to be driving a black 2004 GMC Yukon with Texas license plates 42MVT1.

Warren is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If spotted, detectives ask that the Crime Stoppers TIPS line be called. The suspect has ties to Texas and Louisiana.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, where she is listed as stable following surgery. It's still unclear what led to the shooting.

Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
