It happened at an apartment complex near W. Main and Hazard at around 5:15am. Police believe the stabbing stemmed from a fight between two roommates, one in his 40s and the other in his 50s.
The man in his 50s suffered multiple stab wounds and died at the apartments. Paramedics tried to revive him but were unsuccessful.
The roommate of the deceased man did call 911 and was interviewed by investigators. Paramedics told police that the victim's roommate said to them, "He ran into my knife."
The roommate was taken into custody but so far no charges have been filed.
