The stadium will need hundreds of people to help make Dynamo home games happen. While this place does not open until May, the hiring process is beginning very soon.
Finding a job is not easy right now. Just ask Joseph Olivares.
He said, "It is hard right now, you know what I am saying. The situation, the economics, it is messed up."
Olivares may be in luck, as BBVA Compass Stadium is about to holds its first job fair, looking to fill 200 positions. This is part-time work, but anything sounds good to Olivares right now.
"It's good," he said. "I mean, I would rather work right there than any other place."
The stadium is going to be open by May 12 when the Dynamo play their first game in the facility. BBVA Compass Stadium officials say they have all kinds of jobs available.
Marketing Director Gina Rotolo explained, "You have everything from ushers and ticket takers and ticket scanners and guest services representatives, but there is a whole slew of people that we need to get this beautiful stadium up and running in time for opening day."
Rotolo says the jobs start at minimum wage, and go up from there. She says the stadium will do much more than host the Dynamo and so there will be plenty of opportunities to earn money.
"As we move through the first year and start figuring out how we utilize the outside of soccer and TSU football events, there might be additional needs as we move forward," Rotolo said.
The job fair is March 31, but you do not need to wait that long to turn in an application. The Texas Workforce Solutions office at 5104 Harrisburg in Houston's east end is planning a stadium jobs event this Friday.
Jaime Campos with Texas Workforce Solutions said, "They are going to be interviewing for guest services, security, cashiers and a lot of other positions. We do invite people to come on in and dress to impress, have a resume, and you do have to fill out an application online."

The stadium job fair will be held at the University of Houston downtown campus on Saturday, March 31 from 10am to 2pm at the University of Houston-Downtown Special Events Center. Potential employees should have customer service experience and be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Additionally, employees must be able to stand for long periods of time and withstand various weather conditions such as rain and high temperatures. Interested candidates may apply in advance online now for application pre-screening and the chance to move directly into the one-on-one interview process the day of the event.
On-site interviews will be conducted by hiring managers and applicants are encouraged to dress professionally and are required to bring a current resume, driver's license and Social Security card. Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years of age in order to apply.
