HOUSTON

We first told you on Wednesday night about the investigation into the alleged relationship between language arts teacher Kathryn Camille Murray and a teenage student. Police filed charges after talking with the teen's younger brother.

Spring Branch ISD police say Murray, 28, was arrested Thursday afternoon. According to court documents the Memorial Middle School eighth grade teacher had sex with a 15-year-old boy. She been charged with sexual assault of a child.

The allegation is that Murray went to the student's home one night around midnight earlier this month while his parents were out. Court records indicate the 15-year-old's younger brother saw the teen on his bed, in his bedroom with a tan bra on the floor. He also apparently heard a woman's voice.

The 15-year-old later reportedly admitted to his mother that he had sex with Murray while in his bedroom. Investigators write additionally that the teen later told those interviewing him at the Children's Assessment Center that he was in love with Murray and had kissed her while at school.

The school district calls this a complete breach of trust that students and their parents place in educators. Spring Branch ISD has fired Murray. They tell us she had taught three years at the middle school.
