HCSO: Man kidnapped ex's daughter, 2

HOUSTON

According to the affidavit, Jerome Terrell Taylor's ex-girlfriend was staying at his sister's house Saturday night.

The ex-girlfriend told Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators that she was waiting for Taylor's sister to come home when Taylor walked in. She said they started arguing and he pulled a black handgun from his pocket, threatening to kill her and then kill himself.

Court documents state that Taylor then put the gun back into his pocket and walked into another room. The woman grabbed her two-year-old daughter, put her in her car seat and tried to leave, but Taylor allegedly pulled his ex out of the car and directed her back into the house.

The woman told deputies that Taylor grabbed a liquor bottle and struck her on the legs, and then he ran outside and left in her car.

The two-year-old was still in her car seat.

The child was later recovered and Taylor has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault of a family member. Bail was set at $40,000.
