The Texas Department of Transportation says workers have completed road repairs on the Katy Freeway's westbound connector ramp to the North Freeway ahead of schedule. The ramp, which was closed last Friday, was scheduled to remain closed 10 days so crews could correct shifting of the roadway.
To make the repairs, specialized crews lifted a portion of the connector with large cranes and rotated it back into place. Additional repairs also were made to strengthen the structure.
