Authorities in Liberty County surrounded the Cleveland-area home last night after a woman complained her husband chased her with his assault rifle. She also said he was wearing body armor.
Deputies eventually got the man to put down his weapons but he put up a fight as they handcuffed him.
"He said that he was a chief warrant officer in the Texas Militia and we as law enforcement had no authority over him and he had every right to engage us and kill us," said Captain Rex Evans Liberty County Sheriff's Office
Authorities identified the suspect as Kevin Boney. He's facing several charges, including assault of a family member and assault against peace officers.
