John Steven Stark was charged Tuesday, six days after the 46-year-old from Daisetta, Texas, was arrested following a different bank robbery in Beaumont.
Prosecutors say Stark entered a Bank of America branch in Beaumont on Jan. 30 and gave a teller a note saying "This is a bank robbery." The teller handed over $3,338 in cash. Authorities say Stark was identified through surveillance video.
Stark was arrested Feb. 8 shortly after a Prosperity Bank branch in Beaumont was robbed. He was wanted for questioning in a Feb. 2 bank holdup in Houston.
An attorney for Stark didn't immediately return messages seeking comment.
