HCSO: Man shot to death in his car

HOUSTON

The man's body was discovered slumped over the steering wheel of his car in the 2000 block of FM 1960 near Briarcrest just after midnight Friday.

According to investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office, there were three bullet holes on the side of the man's car.

Deputies said the car had been westbound on F.M. 1960. The driver collapsed and the car rolled onto a concrete culvert in the driveway of the Potato Patch restaurant where he died.

Investigators are trying to determine where the man was coming from when he was shot. They are not sure if he came from the parking lot of a shopping center next to the Potato Patch, which is where a game room is, or if he was driving down the street and was shot by someone on the side of the road or driving next to him.

They are interviewing potential witnesses. Please stay with Eyewitness News and abc13.com for more information on this developing story.
