According to authorities, a PT Cruiser was stolen at gunpoint earlier this morning.
HISD officers were running traffic and found the vehicle speeding near Aspire Charter School and gave chase. The suspects reportedly threw a weapon out during the chase. The men bailed out of the vehicle on Segrest at South Acres and fled on foot.
The school was in a brief lockdown, which has now been lifted.
HISD and HPD officers searched the ditch line and the backyards of several homes before calling off the search. The suspects remain on the loose.
