Investigators say a one-vehicle accident in East Texas has left three men dead after their car struck a tree.

The Department of Public Safety says the accident happened Saturday night in Rusk County, near Turnertown.

DPS says 19-year-old Blake Elliott Winfrey of Henderson and two passengers were northbound on Texas 24 when their car veered into oncoming traffic, Winfrey overcorrected and the vehicle hit a tree.

Winfrey, 17-year-old Nicolas Ramon Garza and 21-year-old Tomas Garza were dead at the scene.

DPS spokesman Tom Vinger on Monday had no information on whether the Garzas were related, but he says they resided at the same address in Selman City.

DPS says all three men were wearing seatbelts.
