Driver rescued after crashing into electrical pole

HOUSTON

Officials said the man was driving down North Main near East Woodland around 9:30pm Saturday when he crashed into a wooden electrical pole, splitting it in half.

The power lines came down on top of his truck.

Because the lines were hot, firefighters could have been electrocuted. They waited for electric crews to shut down the power and then rescued the man.

He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
