A man was killed outside Palace Club in the 9300 block of Bissonnet near the Southwest Freeway around 2am.
According to officials, 39-year-old Antoin Leon Yarbrough was gunned down as he exited the gentleman's club.
Yarbrough had previously lived in Houston but now lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was in town this weekend visiting family, police said.
Investigators said Yarbrough went to the club with friends. As they were leaving, police said Yarbrough was approached by a man who appeared to know him.
They say the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Yarbrough several times. He died at the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, Yarbrough did not appear to argue with the gunman, who is described only as a black man.
The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction with another black man. Police are trying to track them down.
