David Hamilton is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Police say he robbed the Greens Liquor store on Imperial Valley on January 14. The shocking surveillance video shows a man pull a gun and begin shooting at the people behind the counter, as he grabs the cash in the register.
The owner was shot in the ear and arm, while the other employee was shot in the leg. Both are making full recoveries.
Court documents state authorities received information that Hamilton was the one who committed the robbery. Police say both of the shooting victims and a witness later identified Hamilton as the suspect from a photo array.
Hamilton, 26, has a long criminal record including assault, drug possession, theft, resisting arrest and unlawful carrying of a weapon dating back to 2002.
