EEOC suing restaurant owner over alleged harassment

HOUSTON

It comes after two female employees at the Montrose location filed federal complaints that the owner, Philip Wattel, sexually harassed them. They say he groped them and exposed himself to at least one.

They also say once the women filed their complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Wattel retaliated by giving one woman a poor schedule and refusing to rehire the other.

The EEOC found enough evidence of wrongdoing to file a lawsuit against Wattel. He did not return our call for a comment.
