Deputy stumbles upon pot growing operation

Two men were busted for pot overnight after a bonfire they were gathered around caught the attention of a patrolling deputy.

They were arrested around 10pm at Wingate and 75th Street in southeast Houston.

The Precinct 6 deputy says he went to check out the bonfire, but found marijuana sitting on the back of a trailer. He called in for permission to search and found an entire pot growing operation with 50 marijuana plants. Inside, they found about $25,000 in cash.

Police arrested Jason Ryan Amos and Enos Amos on drug charges.
