Tip leads detectives to Richmond bank robbery suspect

RICHMOND, TX

Robert Frederick Brink, 23, was arrested after an anonymous tip led detectives to his Richmond apartment, where they found most of the cash allegedly taken during the crime, according to Richmond police.

On Tuesday, a suspect handed a teller at the IBC Bank located at 5250 FM 1640 a note demanding cash. After the employee obliged to his request, the suspect said "Thanks" and fled in a Toyota parked at a nearby gas station.

During the investigation, detectives were able to gather enough evidence to link Brink to the crime and charge him with robbery.

Brink is being held on a $30,000 bond at the Fort Bend County Jail.
