The girl told her high school counselor and then Harris County Sheriff's deputies that she had sex with Kendrick Deshun Barrett three times in 2009 when she was 15 years old. Barrett, 31, was a teacher's aide at CE King High School, according to court documents.
The girl told authorities that she would meet Barrett on campus and he would take her to his apartment across from the school. That's where she says the two would smoke marijuana and have sex, then Barrett would give her a ride to her other classes.
A spokesperson with Sheldon ISD says Barrett ended his employment with the school in May 2009.
Barrett is charged with sexual assault of a child under 17 years of age. Bail for the felony charge has been set at $30,000.
