AAA Texas estimates 3.3 million Texans traveled 50 miles or more for the Thanksgiving holiday. Many of those people packed airports and roadways Sunday as they returned home from visiting family and friends.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days every year at Houston airports. Houston Hobby and Bush Intercontinental estimate 2 million people flew through Houston over the holiday. About 60,000 were expected to pass through Hobby alone on Sunday, headed out to their hometown or coming back to Houston.
