Kyle Wayne Collins was arrested around 5:45pm Wednesday. Officials said he appeared to be intoxicated, so he was taken to an area hospital for a mandatory blood draw to test his blood alcohol content.
Police transported him back to the Pasadena jail and placed him in a cell by himself. At about 12:30am Thursday, an officer found that Collins had died.
The Harris County Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death.
