A couple of teens led Houston police on a high speed chase in a stolen vehicle early Thursday, officials said.

It all started around 1am Thursday when officers saw the suspects run a red light at the intersection of Telephone Rd and Reveille.

Police say they tried to pull them over, but the teens did not stop.

According to officials, the driver hit speeds in excess of 100mph.

The chase ended on Edgebrook at the Gulf Freeway. The suspects tried to make a U-turn and lost control, slamming into a pole at the intersection.

The driver and his passenger then got out and led police on a brief foot chase. The teens -- both 15-year-old boys -- were taken into custody and police determined the car they were in was stolen Tuesday out of Sugar Land.

No one was hurt.
