Hospital patient sexually assaulted in her bathroom

HOUSTON

On November 15, while the woman was a patient at Behavior Hospital of Bellaire, she was taking a shower in the bathroom of her assigned room when she heard someone enter the bathroom, court documents state. She told police Reginald Bundage, who is also a patient at the hospital, pulled her out of the shower and pushed her to the floor where he sexually assaulted her as she tried to fight him off.

The victim said she tried to scream for help, but her attacker covered her mouth with his hand. Three staff members stopped the attack when they entered the room and pulled the man away.

A sex assault exam was performed on the victim at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Bundage reportedly admitted to his role in the attack in a police interview. He is charged with sexual assault of an adult, and bail has been set at $30,000.
