HOUSTON

It happened around 9:45pm on Bauman at Berry in north Houston.

The patrol car slammed into the side of the truck.

Officials said the driver of the patrol car was taken to an area hospital with cuts to his hands.

According to emergency responders at the scene, the passenger officer was pinned in the vehicle. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, injuries -- possibly a broken hip.

The officers' names were not released.
