Man struck by train in northeast Houston

Union Pacific officials tell us the accident happened as the train was headed north on the tracks near Semmes and Noble.

A man was injured Wednesday after being struck by a train in northeast Houston.

Union Pacific officials tell us the accident happened as the train was headed north on the tracks near Semmes and Noble. That's where it struck the 19-year-old male. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with an amputated leg.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
