Police have identified the big rig driver who was killed. Investigators say 36-year-old Gregory Tolleson had a blow out on I-10 that caused him to lose control of the 18-wheeler.
He crashed into the concrete divider of the freeway and sparks caught the gas tank on fire which spread to the rest of the big rig. Tolleson didn't get out in time.
Traffic was blocked in the area for most of Tuesday's rush hour.
