A $15,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers and private donors for help finding the person who shot a man's finger off last week.

The shooting happened last Tuesday in the victim's driveway along Bent Branch near Wishing Well in northwest Houston. Paul Hillman says he was pulling out of his driveway when the suspect in the police sketch above tapped on his window and asked for money to buy gas. Hillman says as he handed over the money the robber pulled a gun on him.

"The next thing was the gun. I just instinctively reacted to try to knock the gun away and he fired," Hillman said.

The gun blew off Hillman's left index finger and the robber took off.
