The accident happened at about 8am in the 1900 block of Quitman. According to a METRO spokesperson, a car stopped suddenly, causing the driver of the bus behind it to hit the brakes. A second bus then rear-ended the first bus.
Several passengers on both buses are claiming injuries. Four were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital and one passenger was taken to LBJ Hospital. None of the injuries are life threatening.
There's no word on any possible citations for drivers.
