Concert in Spring to benefit wildfire victims

SPRING, TX

Hands Across Texas wildfire benefit is being held today in Spring to raise money for the victims of the tri-county wildfire and Red Cross.

The tri-county fire scorched 19,000 acres across Grimes, Montgomery and Waller Counties. It burned for about two weeks and destroyed more than 70 structures.

The benefit starts at 1pm and goes through midnight at Papa's Ice House, 314 Pruitt in Spring.

All monetary proceeds raised through food and drink purchases, voluntary donations and a silent auction will be given to the American Red Cross to help those who have lost their homes and property. Canned goods and other non-perishible food items, as well as water, will be collected at the benefit for the Montgomery County Food Bank. Firefighters and emergency personnel eat free.

Live entertainment will include Montgomery County's own Rod Williams with Shelly Mac and the Buck Yeager Band, Josh Fuller, Douglas Reid, Phil Griffin, Ziggy Moonshine and the Bootleggers, Mike Amabile, Erik Logan, Daniel Holmes, DunVille, Dewey Wayne, Amber Lynn Slack, Hooked 4 Life, John Loring, Folk Family Revival, Shawn Jason Taylor, Bubba Westly and more.
